How I teach

I enjoy customising sessions to suit your interests, level and learning style. I have taught children and adults at all levels.

I like to make learning fun and creative. I often send out learning materials after the session and make a short video that sums up what we covered plus any songs, tunes or exercises to work on.

What you could learn

We can focus on whatever you need to learn whether that be...

Chords

Strumming and fingerpicking techniques

Music theory

Lead playing

Songwriting and composition

Here's a Spotify playlist with a selection of some of the music I've taught before. I'm also up for you sending me pretty much anything you'd like to learn and working on it together. Or helping you to create new music!

About Me

I'm a boat dwelling, bicycle-powered music teacher!

I teach guitar and ukelele to students of any age and level.
I am happy to host lessons on my boat in Saltford, to meet on Zoom or to come to where you live in the Bristol and Bath area.

Personally I play an eclectic range of styles, including folk, rock, gypsy jazz, bluegrass, pop, old time and swing.

I have an enhanced DBS check and am a member of the Musicians Union.
